Jim Young

Jim founded Young Capital Partners, LLC in 2012 and has been responsible for establishing the investment philosophy of the firm. He works with portfolio companies to set strategic direction as an active board member. His extensive experience in operations and leadership development provides the basis for Young Capital’s successful approach to portfolio company management.

Prior to Young Capital Partners, Jim served as President and CEO of Riddleberger Brothers, Inc., a leading mechanical contracting firm in Virginia. Under his leadership, the company achieved unprecedented profitability as a result of sales and operational excellence. In 2008, Jim sold Riddleberger to Comfort Systems USA (NYSE: FIX), the largest non-union mechanical contracting firm in the country.

Prior to Riddleberger, Jim enjoyed a successful career with Trane, a global leader in the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning industry.

He actively serves as a Chairman of the Board of Acoustical Sheetmetal Company (ASC) and was a former Chairman of the Board of Richmond Electric Supply Co. (RESCO).

Jim is a native of Richmond, VA. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He and his wife, Marianne, have three children.
