Since then, they’ve built close to 30,000 homes using precision instruments, innovative technologies, and skilled craftsmen. The company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities are located in Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, and Maine.

How we helped

Incoming CEO Ed Langley and family friend Perry Bolton led the management buy-in with the help of Jeff Moore and his partners. Under Ed’s leadership, the company grew to $100MM in revenue and tripled operating profits, becoming a major force in the industry. Unfortunately, our friend and partner Ed Langley passed away in August of 2012.

Today, Excel Homes has grown to become the leading modular homes manufacturer on the East Coast and one of the largest custom modular manufacturers in the U.S. They currently offer hundreds of single-family and numerous multi-family home plans with thousands of customization options.
